Abstract
The energy spectrum of a system consisting of a nucleon coupled to a spherical core, performing harmonic 2k-pole vibrations of frequency ω, is considered in second-order perturbation theory. It is found that the separation between the centres of gravity of the "core-multiplets" differs for h{stroke}ω by a term which is small in most cases.
