    Abstract

A new long period superstructure with ideal composition Au35Mn13 is studied by means of high resolution electron microscopy combined with selected area electron diffraction and optical diffraction of the high resolution images. The superstructure is derived from the DO22 structure by the introduction of non‐conservative anti‐phase boundaries on (302) planes with a displacement vector 1/4 [201]. The relationship with other superstructures of the DO22 structure is discussed.
