A PHF calculation for12C with the realistic interaction of Galonska, Faessler and Appel

    Abstract

    Carrying out a PHF calculation for12C with the realistic matrix elements of Galonska, Faessler and Appel and constraining the nuclear radius in order to get enough saturation, one is lead to a problem similar to the one discussed by Bassichis and Wilets in a recent Physical Review Letter. A simple alternative solution is proposed and results are presented for the ground-state band and the 4 p-4 h state in12C.
