Abstract
The present study Is a part of an Agard cooperative creep testing programme on
two replicates of Nimonic 105.
The tests performed are stress rupture tests at a temperature of 900*C
vacuum (10-3 Torr) and at two stress Ievels (10.5 and 17.2 kg/mm2 ); each test is carried out in triplicate. A statistical analysis of the results shows
that a doubt exists about the similarity of behaviour of the replicates (or blanks).
A general evolution of the structure appears after creep. Those structural changes are a precipitation inside the grain and a coarsening of the precipitate between the grains.
It should be noted that the mode of failure is systematically intergranular
