Abstract
An analytical procedure for the determination of thorium, uranium
plutonium and americium in nose blow samples is described. Collection of
nose blow samples has been initiated by the health physicists of AERE, HARWELL.
The very interesting relation they have found between the plutonium
activity of nose blow sample and the plutonium activity found in faecal samples,
following an incident, shows the importance of the collection and analysis
of such samples. The result of -the analysis can be obtained after two
hours.
