title = "Calculation of decay power release, activity and absorbed dose in Eurobitum intermediate level waste",
abstract = "The time evolution calculations of the decay power release, activity and absorbed dose rate due todifferent radiation types in containers with Eurobitum intermediate level waste have been performed. After 34 years of decay (by the year 2012), the decay power release and the activity level drop only twice as the consequence of the activity buildup in the first 10 years. Already after 100~ years of decay, the activity and corresponding power release and absorbed dose is determined to an important extent by alpha-emitting actinides, which are responsible for the long-term (> 100 y) activity and dose.",
