    Abstract

A method is described, which permits to obtain easily, by graft, cells of Acetabularia mediterranea with two or more reproductive caps. These giant cells, in which the cytoplasm/nucleus ratio has been artificially increased, are able to complete their biological cycle normally with the formation of a great number of ovoidal cysts, typical of the species.
