Abstract
After an intoxication of cattle with heavy metals, resulting in the death of 6 animals, cytogenetic investigations were performed on 9 survivors. A few chromatid and chromosome breaks, one disturbance of spiralization and one cell with 3 X-chromosomes were observed in the survivors but, in general, the chromatid and chromosome aberrations recorded were essentially of the same type in controls and in intoxicated cows.
