    Abstract

This thesis reports the setup and calibration of a mobile unit for Whole Body Counting in situ. It uses a 2x2 inch NaI detector to measure high energy gamma-ray emitting radionuclides in the body. The setup is meant for screening and triage rather that for precise quantification of the retained activity.
