Design of a planar probe diagnostic system for plasmatron VISIONI and its application for the study of deuterium retention in W–Ta alloys

    The paper describes the design of elerctrostatic probe diagnostic system for plasmatron VISIONI installed at SCK-CEN. The results of validation of this system are presented, it is demonstrated that diagnostics performs reasonably well. First results of the studies of deuterium retention in tungsten-tantalum alloy performed at this facility, are presented as well.
