Dose-area-product to effective dose in interventional cardiology and radiology

    Abstract

    In this paper is explained how systematic tables are calculated for the determination of organ doses and effective dose from DAP values for interventional radiology and cardiology. This information is useful as an additional tool for dose optimization of patients for complex high-dose procedures. In the Monte Carlo calculation, 2 voxel based phantoms Golem and Laura are used.
