    Abstract

In this thesis, Arabidopsis thaliana plants were exposed to different U-concentrations, ranging from 0 to 100 µM U, at pH 7.5 to investigate the dose-dependent effects of U. Different parameters were analysed eg. biomass, metabolite concentrations, enzyme activities and gene expression. It seems that the ascorbate-glutathione cycle plays an important role in the defence under U-stress. Also the involvement of microRNA398b/c in gene regulation after U-exposure was investigated.
