N2 - This special issue aims to offer a thorough introduction and systematic overview of the new field e-service intelligence. It covers the state-of-the-art of the research and development in various aspects including both theorems and applications, of e-service intelligence. Moreover, it demonstrates how adaptations of existing intelligent technologies benefit from the development of e-service applications. It promotes new e-service intelligence related methodologies, systems, technologies and applications through collaborations with research groups and researchers throughout the world.
Among many topics of e-service intelligence, the special issue mainly reports five successful topics of research and development in e-service intelligence due to the limitation of the volume. (1) fuzzy set techniques based smart agents for delivering services in online shopping, (2) online recommendation systems by means of intelligent e-service technology, (3) applications of ontology in the framework and management of e-services, (4) intelligent online forecasting and decision support systems, and (5) e-services evaluation with fuzzy multi-criteria techniques.
