Abstract

A description is given of an automatic Toepler pump for collection and measurement of gas quantities. The pump, the construction of which is simple and inexpensive, has proven to be reIiabIe and easy to manipulate, while the measuring sensitivity relative to other systems is increased. For collection and measurement of the gas onIy one mercury reservoir is required ; many difficulties inherent in other
types are thus avoided. The simultaneous measurement of volume and pressure,
as we II as the calculation of the amount of gas is given.
