Abstract

Electrical conductivity measurements between 90 and 800°K have been performed on single crystals with composition U0_2.000- U0_2.007. The activation energy decreases from 0.34 to 0.19 eV with increasing excess oxygen content . Hall effect measurements have yielded no measurable response (Hall mobility µ_H< 0.015 cm² V^-1s^-1 at 300° K). The results can be interpreted on the basis of small polaron theory.
