Abstract
It is shown by means of electron microscopy and electron diffraction that the sulfospinel CuIn5S8 undergoes an order‐disorder transformation. Two different long range order superstructures are found: one is cubic and a second one is tetragonal with c/a = 3. The transition states in these two different phases are discussed in terms of predominant clusters.
