Engineering Geology. Special issue. Electrokinetic remediation - EREM 2003

Research outputpeer-review

Abstract

The governing philosophy of preservation of the environment has led worldwide to the demand for effective remediation techniques. Electrokinetic remediation is an innovative method offering a serious and competitive alternative to traditional applied methods. The 4th International Symposium on Electrokinetic Remediation, after Albi (France) 1997, Lyngby (Denmark) 1999 and Karlsruhe (Germany) 2001, was held at the Belgian Nuclear Reserach Centre in Mol (Belgium) from May 14 to 16, 2003. EREM conferences offer a forum to present and discuss the latest developments in topics linked or related to electrokinetic remediation. Besides fundamental aspects, applied research, field or case studies and hybrid applications are covered.
