Abstract
Assessment of Sodium Flow Rate by Induced Fluctuations Analysis. The assessment of liquid sodium flow rate in an experimental loop, by means of cross-correlation between the alternating components of signals given by two neighbouring sensors mounted in the same canal, can pose some interpretation problems. Really, induced fluctuations which are observed may have various causes and not display the same information about sodium flow rate. It is then advisable to make some require distinctions in order to avoid mistakes in assessment. Fluctuations showing the sodium flow rate into three various ways were observed in the course of the careful investigations performed on experiments carried out in CEN-SCK's labs in MOL.
