    Abstract

    resistance while keeping good resistance to fatigue crack growth. The objectives of this research are the fatigue crack growth and microstructure characterization of an ABNT 4133 modified steel (API 5CT) manufactured by continuous ingot casting. The generated experimental data in term of fatigue crack growth rate versus stressintensity factor allows the validation of the Paris-Erdogan model in the stage II region and the Collipriest model down to the fatigue threshold up to the material fracture toughness.
