Abstract
The domain structure of the ferroelastic monoclinic phase of BiVO4 is examined by electron microscopy and electron diffraction methods. It consists of two orientation variants separated by two sets of quasi‐mutually “perpendicular” walls. The orientation of the domain walls is not determined by symmetry but follows from the direction of the spontaneous strain.
