Abstract

This deliverable summarizes the results obtained by SCK•CEN and ENEA regarding LBE purification by filtering. For SCK•CEN, filter results obtained in different LBE loop type systems are given as well as some recent insights in the mechanisms leading to the formation of solids from corrosion products. For ENEA, results are presented of the design, construction and (preliminary) endurance tests of pool type filters in the CIRCE LBE pool facility.
