N2 - Concrete structures are fundamental to the safety and functionality of nuclear power plants (NPPs), serving as critical barriers for radiation shielding, structural support, and containment. As many NPPs across Europe and globally approach or exceed their original design lifespans, ensuring the continued integrity of these structures under long-term operation (LTO) has become a strategic priority.
The ACES Final Project Workshop, held on 22-24.4.2025 in Linkebeek - Belgium, was dedicated to advancing the understanding and management of ageing phenomena in nuclear civil engineering structures, with a particular focus on the objectives and innovations of the ACES project – Towards improved Assessment of Safety Performance for LTO of nuclear Civil Engineering Structures. The event was hosted by both ENGIE LABORELEC and SCK CEN.
The workshop explored how ACES has been developing a systematic ageing management framework that integrates experimental research, advanced modeling, and End User guidance. Through presentations, technical sessions, and collaborative discussions, this workshop has provided a platform for sharing the latest findings from ACES and related research.
This deliverable presents the agenda and all the presentations given in the Final Workshop.
