The experimental data on the magnetic moments and M and E2 transition probabilities for the low energy levels of 23V2851 are compared with the predictions of two nuclear models, a three particles configuration model and a core particle coupling model. It is shown in particular that only one experimental datum of this type allows a choice between the two models and that this choice Is in favour of a three particles configuration in V51.
