Abstract
A method of orientation relationship determination in bicrystals is presented. The rotation matrix and the rotation axis and angle are computer calculated in a coordinate system directly applicable to the electron microscope as well as to the crystal system. All equivalent descriptions compatible with the crystal symmetries are also calculated. These results can also be used as input data for a refinement of the determination. Special attention is paid in this method to the maximization of information obtained from a minimum of the given data.
