    Abstract

    We show how to evaluate systematically the constraint reactions when their direction is known. This is in particular the case of friction and of polished constraints. On the other hand we remove the Painlevé paradox by considering the time derivation at the initial moment of the constraint equation since this last is a constant of motion .
