Abstract

A technique for introducing a three-electrode electrochemical cell into a channel of the BR1 reactor is described. The choice of materials for construction of the in-pile devices is discussed. A description is given of potentiodynamic tests on stainless steels and boiler plate steel and of transitometric tests on aluminium and its alloys. The advantages and disadvantages of the installation are summarized.
