Abstract
We review in situ projects on container materials and waste forms (glass, cement) carried out in the underground laboratory in Mol. We explain the test concepts : the first in situ tests initiated in the late '80's, the CERBERUS test and the present CORALUS test. We summarize the main results obtained thus far on container materials (mainly C-steel), glasses (the R7T7 and PAMELA glasses) and cement (OPC). We next discuss the added value of the these tests in view of extrapolating to the long-term behaviour of these maetrials, and reflect on the added value of in situ testing to the other approaches.
