This report documents a series of studies about long-term safety of the radium interim storage facility of Umicore at the town of Olen (Belgium). The issues addressed include the radium waste inventory and waste characteristics, the properties of the engineered barriers, the results from impact assessment studies carried out to investigate the long-term radiological and non-radiological consequences for man, and finally the radiological consequences from removal of radioactive sources from the storage facility.
