    Abstract

In this report the possibility of creating a fundamental nuclear research facility coupled to the MYRRHA proton accelerator is investigated. The scope of the facility would be to produce pure and well defined radio-active beams of exotic nuclei by means of the on-line isotope separator (ISOL) priciple. After an introduction on the MYRRHA project in general the technical details of such a facility are discussed. Furthermore, several phyics cases of interest are described ranging from fundametal symmetries over nuclear physics to solid state physics and atomic physics and the production of radiopharmaceuticals.
