Abstract

By considering ₈₄Po₁₂₇²¹¹ as a hard core with two external protons and a neutron, we calculate according to the shell model the level scheme in jj coupling with zero range forces. The ground state and first excited state have J^π = 9/2 +. The isomeric stat has J^π = 25/2+. These results are in agreement with experiment.
