Abstract
The workers In nuclear centres are submitted to medical control examinations, the nature and frequency of which are determined by the specifications and environmental conditions of the work.
A great number of these controls are legally compulsory as described in
the A.R. of 28/2/1963. These requirements however, should be considered as a
minimum.
Biological tests for exposition to radiation especially at low doses are still of doubtful evidence. Therefore, the medical control has to rely also on physical controls either by instruments giving the external irradiation dose or by total-body and bio-assay measurements for the determination of internal contamination.
