Abstract

The LIMETS 3 high strain fatigue testing set up is equipped with a mechanical extensometer capable of measuring accurately the strain on teh specimen gauge length and a gas conditionning loop to control the LBE oxygen content in a fixed range. The first results obtaind in LBE at 300,350 and 400 °C with the ferritic martensitic steel T91 and the austenitic steel 316L are presented together with results obtained in air at room temperature.
