Abstract

Fission fragment mass and kinetic energies have been studied for the odd-odd fissioning system ²⁴⁴Am in comparison with the even-even fissioning system ²³⁶U. In the mass distributions, fine structures with a periodicity of 2.5u and 5u respectively have been observed and discussed. Also a fission mode analysis was attempted on the mass-energy distributions.
