Abstract
The meteorologie and hydrologie observations at the Mol site have been studied
and led to a correlation between both phenomena. From these data the recharge
rate of the aquifer and the real infiltration velocities have been computed.
A new device called "Multicounter" has been developed for the "in situ"
measurement of groundwater velocity and direction in non consolidated media.
The apparatus is made of a stainless steel cylinder with four counter tubes
piercing the bottom and one injection needle at the center of the bottom plate.
The activities of the four counters are recorded simultaneously and provide
Activity-Time plots which characterize the movement.
