Abstract

The radioactivity level of Misaki sea-water appeared eight times higher than the natural background.
Fission products accounted for a large proportion of the radioactivity in plankton. Long-lived fission products seemed to be not accumulated by Misaki plankton.
Neutron activated radionuclides are not detected in plankton by gamma spectrum analysis.
