Abstract
This article compares different SINRD filters and detector types that can be used for the safeguards verification of spent nuclear fuel using the Self-Interrogation Neutron Resonance Densitometry (SINRD).
SINRD is a passive neutron technique that has the potential to directly estimate the 239Pu content in the spent fuel.
Different filters of Gd and Cd (SINRD filters) were compared in this paper, and the performance of different detector types in terms of neutron counts and 239Pu sensitivity was estimated.
