    Abstract

A neutron diffraction study of powdered K2NiF4 has been made at the following temperatures: 21 °K, 77 °K and 298 °K. In this tetragonal layer‐type structure, the magnetic moments within each sheet are coupled antiferromagnetically; they are found to be parallel to the c‐axis.
