Abstract
The non‐isothermal kinetics of crystallization of Bi2S3 from glassy (GeS2)0.5(Bi2S3)0.5 is examined using differential scanning calorimetry. Several kinetic models related to different mechanisms are tested. The best fit to the experimental data is obtained assuming that the transformation fulfills the equation f(α) = αm(1 − α)n, where α is the fraction of crystallized material.
