Abstract
The existence of a parallelism between RNAase activity and RNA content has been observed in the shoot of Barley seedlings grown in various physiological conditions, in the presence or absence of light. In such conditions, the RNA, protein and DNA contents may vary independently from each other. The results are discussed with reference to possible translocation mechanisms.
