Abstract
An analytical method, based on the use of double-focussing sector-field inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-SFMS), for the determination of trace elements in a lead-bismuth eutectic matrix, has been successfully developed and validated. In order to overcome matrix effects, an offline analyte/matrix separation procedure has been developed and applied, prior to subjecting the samples to ICP-SFMS analysis.
