Optimisation of the Core Management Scenario to Reach High Fuel Burnup in the MYRRHA Research Reactor

    Research outputpeer-review

    Abstract

This presentation presents how the operational fuel cycle of MYRRHA has been analyzed from the perspective of fuel behaviour. It compares two options: a) constant core power and b) constant beam current. Critical parameters like keff and ks, core power, fuel peak temperature etc are monitored for a certain core shuffling scheme.
