Abstract

The report contains an overview of the overall framework, the planning and the milestones of the Belgian programme regarding the disposal of high-level waste and spent nuclear fuel. In the current state-of-affairs, the Belgian Radioactive Waste Management Agency ONDRAF/NIRAS proceeds on the basis of a provisional plan for the stepwise implementation of a HLW/SF repository. It is foreseen that a Waste Plan will be submitted in 2010 or after the completion of Safety and Feasibility Case 1 in 2013. The report describes the overall context and the different phases included in this reference plan.
