Abstract
Investigators were from 19 organisations in 14 NEA member countries (Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Czechia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States) and from one organisation in an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) member state (the People’s Republic of China). The involvement of investigators from an IAEA member state was in the framework of an agreement with the IAEA Co-ordinated Research Project on Fuel Modelling in Accident Conditions (FUMAC). Also involved in the benchmark were: (a) Simone Massara, Ian Hill and Julie-Fiona Martin from the Nuclear Energy Agency (technical secretaries and junior scientist); (b) Wolfgang Wiesenack from the OECD/NEA Halden Reactor Project (provider of experimental data); and (c) various observers, includingArndt Schubert from the European Commission (EC) Joint Research Centre (JRC) and Mikhail Veshchunov from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
