Abstract
From 5 to 7 May 2025, the first PAST workshop was
organised in the Deliblato Sands Special Natural Reserve
(Deliblatska Peščara), which is listed as a UNESCO World
Heritage site. The workshop was organised within the
framework of the one-year networking project PAST
(Palaeosoil Analysis in Late Glacial Sandy Terrains across Europe), funded by INQUA. Spread over three days, a total of 34 participants attended the workshop – a few of them online. Participants came from six countries, including
developing countries (DCR), with various backgrounds and professions (managers, teachers, scientists, professors), and represented a balanced mix
of early-career researchers (ECR) and senior experts.
