Abstract
The dispersion of phonons propagating at room temperature in symmetry directions of CeD2.72 has been measured by means of the inelastic neutron scattering technique. A sixth-neighbour Born-von Kármán tensor force model describes satisfactorily the characteristic features of the experimental results. With respect to the set of force constants derived in a similar study on CeD2.12, the CeCe interactions are significantly modified by the presence of additional deuteriums.
