Abstract
Measurements of optical absorption, conductivity and thermopower were performed on glasses of the pseudobinary (GeS2)x(Bi2S3)1-x system. The results are interpreted on the assumption that the glasses are inhomogeneous on a medium scale range. Evidence for this comes from DSC, XRD and IR reflectivity measurements. The compositional dependence of the conductivity can be well described by percolation-controlled transport. A p → n transition occurs in the vicinity of a percolation threshold.
