    Abstract

This document describes the future IRFUMA-6 irradiation campaign, in which mechanical samples of three EUROFER97 joints (TIG weld, laser joint, diffusion joint) will be irradiated in the BR2 reactor in Mol at 300 °C up to a target dose of approximately 2 dpa. The irradiation will last for 8 reactor cycles, starting from the third BR2 cycle of 2008 and ending after the fifth BR2 cycle of 2009. The irradiation rig which will be used is called CALLISTO (CApabiLity for Light water Irradiation in Steady state and Transient Operation), which is a specialized high-pressure water loop offering a comprehensive range of experimental conditions representative of PWR power reactors. It has been used for the first four IRFUMA irradiation campaigns and, in its In-Pile Section 2 (IPS2), can provide an accumulated dose of approximately 0.25 dpa for an average reactor cycle of 21 days at the reactor midplane.
