Abstract
The effects of radiation on thermal conductivity of the UO2fuel are analysed. A brief comparison of the present measurement techniques is given. It is pointed out that the most suitable and informative technique for high noisy in-pile conditions is that based on the periodical variation of temperature. Some preliminary estimations on applicability of this method to in-pile conditions are given. The proposals are formulated for measurements of thermal characteristics of the fuel rods in the "hot"cell and during irradiation experiments in the BR2 reactor.
