Abstract

The authors made a study of the conditions for the production of Ca⁴⁷ by neutron irradiation of enriched calcium. The theoretical study was carried out by examining samples of various isotopic content and its incidence on the specific activity and on the contamination in Ca⁴⁵. It is shown that the production of Ca⁴⁷ with sufficient specific activity and radiochemica1 purity requires the use of targets highly enriched in Ca⁴⁶.
