The IRFUMA-IV irradiation campaign is the follow-up of the IRFUMA-I, IRFUMA-II and IRFUMA-III experiments; the acronym stands for IRradiation of FUsion MAterials. The IRFUMA-IV experiment consists of a total of seven irradiation cycles in the Belgian Reactor 2 (BR2) of SCK•CEN in Mol.
All the IRFUMA experiments are devoted to materials for Fusion applications, and more specifically RAFM (Reduced Activation Ferritic-Martensitic) steels.
The IRFUMA-IV irradiation, that will span from the third cycle of 2004 (03/2004) to the fourth cycle of 2005 (04/2005), has started on July 21, 2004.
